An article came across my desk titled the 50 most beautiful sentences in literature and sure enough the Scriptures didn't get a look-in.
This led me a journey of wondering what 'seven' of our Press Service International 'young writers' might deem their 'seven' most beautiful verses of scripture -
You may be just as fascinated as I was to discover their selections – these are the other three of young writers.
Thomas Devenish - Hobart
Job Chapter 28 verses 21-18
21 It is hidden from the eyes of all living, And concealed from the birds of the air.
22 Destruction and Death say, 'We have heard a report about it with our ears.'
23 God understands its way, And He knows its place.
24 For He looks to the ends of the earth, And sees under the whole heavens,
25 To establish a weight for the wind, And apportion the waters by measure.
26 When He made a law for the rain, And a path for the thunderbolt,
27 Then He saw wisdom and declared it; He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out.
28 And to man He said, 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.' "

Another of Mark Tronson's most beautiful verses is Solomon's prayer in dedicating the Temple where he speaks of his father David wanting to build the Temple -
2 Chronicles 6:8
But the Lord said to me father David, "Because it was in your heart to build a house for My Name, you did well that it was in your heart".
Mark says he has often preached on this portion of Scripture as it is such a blessing to those who for want of any number of reasons find themselves unable to serve as missionaries (or whatever) - but because it was in their heart, they will be blessed.
