Rock For Life, a pro-life group with links to both Christian and secular musicians, has accused Amnesty International of misleading music artists in producing an album to raise fund for the human-rights group without making clear its stance on abortion.
The Director of Rock of Life, Erik Whittington, told the Times publication that the human-rights movement, was adding insult to injury, in relation to the human suffering in Darfur, by using the fund raised by its latest music album to support a 'pro-abortion' organisation. The fund of the music album was intended to support the refugees in Darfur.
"The human suffering going on right now in Darfur is horrific. To add insult to injury, however, using this tragic abuse of human rights to raise money for a pro-abortion organisation is hypocritical and beyond belief," he said.
The Rock For Life group, based in America, is bringing music bands together to fight until abortion is abolished and a respect for the gift of life is restored.
