Angelina Jolie was truly heartbroken to miss the premiere of her movie "Unbroken," but she was forced to stay at home because of chickenpox.
To make up for it, Jolie created a special video for fans, explaining the reason for her no-show in the succeeding "Unbroken" events. Clad simply in a white tank top with spots on her face, Jolie said she "can't believe" she's missing the premiere, given how important the movie is to her.
"I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the 'Unbroken' events in the next few days, which is that I found out last night that I have chickenpox. So, I will be home itching and missing everyone. And I can't believe it cause this film means so much to me," she said in the video.
Her husband Brad Pitt and their children will be attending the events on her behalf.
"Unbroken" is the true-to-life story of American Olympic runner Louis Zamperini, who suffered as a Japanese prisoner during World War II. Zamperini passed away at age 97 in July. His family is expected to attend the premiere.
