Nike is aiming to get it's users and customers to 'just do it'. The footwear sporting goods company has announced revealed its rebranded Nike+ Running app.
The mobile app, renamed as Nike+ Run Club, has brought improvements in performance, feature, visual, and stability.
The app has been revamped visually giving the users access to information much faster than before, like run time, distance and location. To add to the competition and motivation among its customers, Nike has added features where a user can share their activities with friends by hash-tagging runs.
"Whatever your goal, your Nike+ Coach has a plan for you. One that STARTS with your goals and fitness LEVEL, and ADAPTS as you progress," said a company statement.
Nike is also focusing on the Apple Watch to integrate with its Nike+ Run Club app. Apple is expected to add a built-in GPS in the latest line-up of Apple wearable gear.
In the current version of the Nike+ Run Club app on Apple Watch a person can keep note of his or her tracks pace distance, elevation, heart rate, and mile splits. But if the Apple does add the GPS feature in the upcoming Apple Watch 2, a person can go freely on a run and track their track records and other information without an iPhone.
Apple is expected to make announcements regarding Apple Watch 2 this September.
And in case the user is still falling short of motivation, there is a new personalized coaching plan in the Nike app to encourage the user about fitness.
