Wil Traval a.k.a. Will Simpson of the Netflix superhero drama series 'Jessica Jones' will join the cast of 'Arrow' season 5 as the Human Target.
The Australian actor will reportedly take on the role of Christopher Chance, a professional bodyguard and master of disguise who takes on the identities of those targeted by assassins.
The character will enter the shown to take on his new client Mayor Oliver Queen.
Traval played the love interest of Trish Walker in season one of Jessica Jones. He was also a police officer from New York City Police Department who becomes obsessed with tracking down and finishing off Kilgrave after an encounter with him. But a military program later turned him into a sturdy and insane murderer.
This is not the first time the Human Target is making its TV presence. The character had its own series which aired for two seasons on Fox from 2010 to 2011.
It was developed by Jonathan E. Steinberg and premiered in the US and Canada in CTV. It had a slightly different storyline than the Human Target comic book version. Chance, played by Mark Valley used to homogenize himself with the life of his clients instead of taking over their identity.
Apart from this, in the early '90s, ABC also got its hand on its own Human Target series which starred Rick Springfield but that was a major failure as the show was cancelled just after seven episodes.
Fans can catch the new season of Arrow on Wednesday, October 5 at 8 pm on The CW.
