That television interview is now available on several sites including the Missionary News Service, the ABC's 'In the Making of Modern Australia' and the Australian Missionary News IPTV.
Mark Tronson then initiated an Australian version of the Missionary News Service IPTV using the Australian SafeWorlds 'Faith and Charity' channel along with his own .tv web site. Its "rise and rise" is partly due to Mark and his wife 'taking the show on the road.'
After 34 years of ministry, much of it involving Australian sporting teams and institutions, Mark has a very wide range of contacts for prominent Christians in Australia. Mark and Delma also travel widely as part of their mission, to country areas to mentor youth; to conferences within Australia and internationally; and to facilitate round-table discussions for other mission personnel.
Since 2009, during these scheduled trips, they have embarked on an intensive program of short interviews of well-known sports people, including cricketers, tennis players and netballers for their IPTV channel.
They have also interviewed a wide range of Christian dignitaries such as Rowland Croucher (John Mark Ministries), Ross Clifford (Morling Seminary), Jarrod McKenna (Radical Christianity), Simon Manchester (St Thomas, North Sydney) and many others.
Included in the mix are diverse interviews with numerous social commentators, such as Basil Sellers AM (Philanthropist), Andrew West (Sydney Morning Herald journalist), John Cleary (ABC TV journalist), Nathanael Yates (Young Scientist).
There have also been more than forty clips made during lunch breaks at international conferences such as the 2010 Baptist World Congress, with Mark or Delma talking to Christian personalities from as far away as Russia in the north to Argentina in the south.
It was not long before the space available on the Australian Missionary News IPTV internet .tv site was being filled and the decision was made to limit the site to "current" and "interest" interviews and place the rest in a separate archive over at SafeWorlds, which is an e-business site requiring a password.
In addition, since Mark's scientific advisers tell him that data is not secure unless it is saved in two different places, a YouTube channel was established with open access.
The Australian Missionary News IPTV "YouTube" channel is named "Bushorchestra IPTV" in parallel with the Well-Being Australia "bushorchestra" website. This YouTube channel has been operating now for some time and has been well patronised.
The 'bushorchestra' web statistics reveal that out of Well-Being Australia's top three visitor files, the Australian Missionary News IPTV is the second; and moreover viewers are staying online for five minutes or more, illustrating that they are watching interviews in full.
Interested people can get to the YouTube channel from the 'bushorchestra' website or they can go straight to YouTube (link below) where the statistical analysis is open-plan so that everyone can see how many viewers there have been for each interview.
This information should be read with the knowledge that, of course, an item that has been posted a year ago will have more visitors than one posted last week!
Mark Tronson invites everyone to browse. The latest interview uploaded on 19 September 2011 was the interview (from 2009) with former Test Cricket captain, Greg Chappell.
