Well it seems the creator of upcoming intelligence series 'Berlin Station' is not a 'Homeland' fan.
Executive producer Olen Steinhauer reportedly said that the only similarity between the Showtime drama and Epix series is that they both deal in the world of intelligence.
When Steinhauer took the stage at the Television Critics Association Press tour on Saturday to answer questions, it was pretty unavoidable that he would not been asked about the show's similarities to Homeland.
"They are two very different things," he insisted "The only similarity is that they both deal in the world of intelligence."
He even revealed when he and the rest of the producers found out that Homeland's fifth season would take place in Berlin they had a collective thought: "I think there was a moment of hesitation. Like...everyone is going to compare us."
"The one crucial difference is that in Homeland, you're following Carrie [Claire Danes]. She's the fulcrum of everything — it's her drive that gets things done," he said. "But that's not how intelligence works."
"How did they find Bin Laden? It was not one person who was driven to extremes," he further added. "This is an ensemble [show] because intelligence is an ensemble."
Steinhaeur also claimed his series would more accurately depict the city or Berlin itself.
"We want Berliners to be able to watch this show and think, 'Oh, I know this place.'"
'Berlin Station' will premiere on October 16.
