Overwhelming ratings have made way for 19th and 20th seasons of the much popular reality and game show 'Big Brother'.
CBS has confirmed the renewal of the two upcoming seasons. The official statement revealed that the 19th season is scheduled for the summer of 2017, and the 20th season will premiere in 2018.
The show sees its contestants battling every week through tasks to keep their place in the house intact to win the booty of $500,000. The selling factors are the unexpected eliminations, fun challenges and some love struck contestants every season.
The hit show aired by CBS is hosted by Julie Chen.
Though generally shunned by critics, the show found a place among audiences since the very first season when it premiered in the summer of 2000. The ratings went up eventually.
Based on over 7,900 votes, 51 viewer reviews and 16 critic reviews, the TV show has a score of 5.3 out of 10 in IMDB. The show's total streams across digital platforms was up 33% over last year and was named the most social series on television by Nielsen Social. According to Metacritic, the show has a score of 6.7 out of 10 based on 6 user ratings.
The show is currently in its 18th season whose premiere drew 6.31 million viewers with a 1.9/7 rating share among the adults in the age group of 18 to 49. It is already grabbing attention with its controversial nature.
