American web series 'Bosch' has added Arnold Vosloo as the new nemesis to detective Harry Bosch in its third season. Vosloo will be playing Rafael "Rudy" Tafero, a former cop gone incognito and will be shown working as a security chief for director Andre Holland in the forthcoming series.
Arnold Vosloo has earlier been seen portraying mastermind terrorist Habib Marwan in Season 4 of the 24, and as Imhotep in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns.
Season three will see Rudy all up against Bosch (Titus Welliver) and might even plant evidence against Bosch in a case. The season announed in April for renewal will be inspired by Michael Connelly's The Black Echo and also include elements from A Darkness More Than Night.
The sophomore season, which kicked off on March 11, 2016 on Amazon, was based on three novels called The Drop, Trunk Music and The Last Coyote.
At the end of the last season, fans wondered whether it will be up for another season, and to their relief, a confirmation came.
"Our customers can't get enough of Harry Bosch," said Morgan Wandell, Head of Drama Series at Amazon Studios.
"Michael, Eric, Henrik, and Pieter Jan, as well as Titus and the entire cast and crew, have done a fantastic job with Season 2, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for next season."
Apart from Vosloo, Jamie Hector (The Wire), Amy Aquino (Being Human), Madison Lintz (The Walking Dead) and Lance Reddick (The Wire) also stars in the police procedural drama series about a homicide detective.
