The first A-list film-award ceremony of the New Year was kicked off with the Palm Springs Film Festival—and they star-studded gathering apparently has a lot to sing about.
This year, actor and producer, Brad Pitt managed to steal the spotlight from the event's honorees by starting a sing-along during the black-tie gala affair for the festival.
Pitt, who flew in from Los Angeles was tasked to introduce actor David Oyelowo, who portrayed civil-rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr for the film Selma and was award Breakthrough Performance Award for an Actor.
The star professes his admiration for Oyelowo and while introducing his friend and colleague, led the audience in a sing-along with lyrics inspired by the actor's often mispronounced last name, in the key of the Spanish football anthem "Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole."
Oyelowo who was all smiles as he takes the stage from Pitt says—
"You know you've broken through when Brad Pitt sings your name," he said.
