Eddy and Jennifer Mapakou (LWFCI'S UK NATIONAL DIRECTORS) as well as Garvin Arthur (UK MUSIC & EVENTS CHAIRMAN) are so greatly encouraged by Brenda's tireless efforts, her anointed singing, her vast reservoir of expertise, her humble yet confident ability to enlist UK Pastors and most of all her desire to be accountable!
She and her team are literally consumed in having everything lined up for the 'Bridging the Gap UK 2012 Outreach' Team gathering from throughout the world. Brenda Emmanuel 'and that small UK remnant who are so impassioned with this opportunity' might be the spark to ignite revival throughout the UK, Europe and the world!
Comments from this woman of God – Brenda Emmanuel: "More and more I sense a unity between churches which is being fostered by the move of God. Churches are now fellowshipping with each other more than ever with focus on personal relationship with God rather than denominations."
"For the last year and a half, I have been asking the Lord to use me for his purpose and he has been opening more and more doors of opportunities for this to happen. Now that I have been introduced to this ministry, I have totally embraced not only the objective/purpose of the ministry (to impact the world for Jesus Christ) but also the strategy that will be employed to achieve the objective."
"This for me is a great opportunity to be part of something which is instrumental in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ with the aim of winning souls for Christendom."
"My main goal is to touch the lives of others and to ensure that the light of Jesus Christ is evident in all I do and say. Using the multi-faceted skills that God has entrusted to me, I am prepared to be used by God to minister however and wherever God requires whether it is ministering in song, directing the choir, coordinating events or simply assisting the UK Music Director. (I pray that when people look at me they actually see the light of Jesus Christ shining out of me. - Matthew 5:16)"
Personal background
I was born in London, England I migrated to Jamaica with my parents and siblings in 1968 where I spent my formative years. Surprisingly, I represented my high school (Excelsior) in athletics (100m, 200m & 4 x 100m) and was always participating in sports both at school and in my local community (athletics, netball and football) and the arts (singing and dancing).
I sang in the secular field being a lead vocalist in a number of bands....I continued to sing in bands when I returned to live in the UK in 1986; at which time I also decided to return to education. This lead to be achieving a Masters Degree in Human Resources – I am currently a Human Resources Manager.
Whilst going through an extremely stressful period in my life, I was invited to the New Testament Church of God (Cathedral of Praise) in Wood Green. I clearly remember attending the Sunday morning service in 1998 as I entered the church as a broken woman – but left a changed 'Child of God'!
Shortly after leaving the Wood Green Gospel Choir where I sang & served, I became a member of the renowned 'Kingdom Choir' under the directorship of Karen Gibson....My 5-track EP which will be released in the summer of 2012.
'My prayers and dreams for Olympics are that the vision of LWFCI will continue to grow and that churches all over the world will partner with them with a view impacting lives for the furtherance of the Kingdom...Let there be unity, let lives be touched, let us win souls for the Kingdom' "
Dr Mings stated that "We are blessed God has orchestrated His Choice Servant, Brenda Emmanuel our way!"
