With seven rounds remaining of the Premier League season, Chelsea are 7 points clear with a great run in as the season draws to a close.
Chelsea could slip up as they still have tough games to play with a trip to United only days away, however the Royal Blues took another step closer to glory with a hard fought 3-1 win away in the Southeast against Bournemouth.
Chelsea were inspired by a man of the match performance from Hazard who scored the 2nd goal and ensure Chelsea remain favourites to lift the silver ware (title) at the end of the season.
Spurs opened the weekend with the early kick off hosting Watford. Spurs impressive form continued with Alli scoring a screamer whilst Heung-Min scored a brace either side of the half to earn Spurs all 3 points.
Spurs are staying hot on the heels of arch rivals Chelsea and maintain their place in the all-important automatic Champions League competition!!
Saturdays midday matches also witnessed some enthralling fixtures as the Champions League places loom.
Liverpool had a fantastic 2-1 away win at Stoke City whilst Manchester City were simply to strong at home for Hull City eventually running out 3-1 winners.
Manchester United played early on Sunday and also claimed all three points with a 3-0 win away at Sunderland.
With games in hand – there are still two places up for grabs with United, City, the Gunners and Liverpool all fighting it out to be amongst Europe’s Elite next season.
Other matches this weekend saw Middlesbrough and Burnley play out a scoreless draw, West Ham won 1-0 at home to relegation bound Swansea.
Southampton won 1-0 away at West Brom in the Midlands whilst the final match of the weekend was a thrilling 4-2 Everton win at Goodison Park over an in form Leicester City.
