Chelsea have put one hand on the Premier League title after thrashing an immature Arsenal 3-1 at the Bridge.
Chelsea looked strong and dominated throughout with Alonso opening the scoring before Hazard took the ball from halfway to weave through the gunners defence and score a breathtaking second after half time.
The gunners scored a late stoppage time consolation goal to make the score line a little more respectable however the damage was more than done. Chelsea are now 12 points ahead of the gunners and 9 points clear of nearest rivals Spurs.
Super Sunday played host to Manchester City as they looked to capitalise on dropped points to team around them. Swansea City were the travellers and City with their new influential striker Jesus, took full advantage as Jesus scored a brace to take all 3 points and edge into 3rd position, just 1 point behind Spurs and 10 points behind Chelsea.
Manchester United also gained ground on the all-important Champions league places with a 3-0 away win at Leicester City. Leicester have had a dismal campaign after winning the title and are now only 2 points off the relegation zone and are in real danger of slipping out of the premier league.
Untied on the other hand, are gaining ground and are now just 1 point off Liverpool and 2 points off Arsenal who are 4th!!!
Saturday's late kick off saw Spurs climb to second spot with a classy 1-0 home win thanks to a Kane Penalty. Spurs were lucky to win with Middlesbrough having a great opportunity that they couldn't take in the final seconds of the match!!
Saturday's 3pm kick off's saw some massive relegation matches, with the pick being Sunderland's 4-0 drubbing of Crystal Palace at Sellhurst Park.
Defoe scored a brace as Sunderland went within 2 points of safety and Palace are now in a real dog fight to avoid the drop.
Hull City surprised Liverpool with a critical victory, winning 2-0 at home to take them to within 1 point of safety meanwhile in the middle of the table there were big wins for Everton – Watford – West Brom and West Ham.
