The creator of viral daddy-daughter date video 'The Best First Date' will come to Australia as an ambassador for the Dads 4 Kids 'Love Your Children' campaign.
Aaron Dickson, a worship pastor at Bellingham Church in Seattle, along with two friends developed the video which was picked up by popular viral sites IJReview and BuzzFeed.
Over 8.6 million have since watched the 'date' featuring Dickson and his 3 year old daughter having dinner on the family home's back porch.
"A couple of buddies and I wanted to film a father's day video to help promote a special bond between father and daughter," Dickson explained in an interview on Sunrise.
"[We] cannot believe the world support and excitement behind it."
Some viewers, however, labelled the idea as 'creepy' and 'disturbing'.
"I'm sorry if other people are not interested in my excitement to pursue my little girl as her father in a loving relationship," Dickson said. "I love her to death and I want to treat her like a princess."
The father of two daughters has signed on as the ambassador of the Fatherhood Foundation's tour on the importance for dads to 'love their children' and will be appearing live on Channel 7's Sunrise and Channel 9's Mornings on Friday 5th September.
