The Newsboys have recently undergone a makeover with former front man Peter Furler handing over the lead singer role to DC Talk's Michael Tait.
According to Easterfest CEO, Isaac Moody, the new Newsboys will be a massive hit.
"Anyone skeptical about the Newsboys lineup change will be amazed at the new sound, the fresh energy and the energetic live concert experience."
The two concerts, both labeled as 'Easterfest Sideshows', will also feature US artists Hawk Nelson and Superchick (Sydney only).
For Hawk Nelson it will mark their first appearance in Australia.
"There is plenty of built up demand to see Hawk Nelson perform live in Australia."
"Hawk fans have been begging us to bring them to Australia for years."
The Sydney Sideshow venue will be the Hillsong Convention Centre and in Melbourne the Dallas Brooks Hall.
"These Easterfest Sideshows give Christian music fans in New South Wales and Victoria an opportunity to experience a slice of Easterfest - even if they can't make the long journey to Queensland at Easter".
