Most of the other Big European clubs have been quiet in the market so far as most of the big named players come back from time off after the World Cup. In England Man United have focused mainly of their Mexican signing before the World Cup as their main purchase so far. United also think Chelsea will be their closest rivals for the premiership as they prepare to win back the crown from their southern enemies.
Manchester City seem to be the busiest team in the transfer market so far with some notable signings. City have snared Yaya Toure from Barcelona and also David Silva from Valencia. These two are both notable signings witch leaves the door open for others to leave Eastland's. Martin Petrov has left Man City for local rivals Bolton. Bolton are very happy with this signing as they look to consolidate their position in the Premier League.
With Joe Cole leaving Chelsea for Liverpool, Chelsea have hit back with the singing of Yossi Benayoun. The forma Liverpool man will be a great signing for Chelsea as they look to win back to back Premiership titles. Chelsea otherwise have been quiet apart from departures of Ballack and Belletti however will look to bolster their squad before the season begins.
Meanwhile not much action has happened with the new clubs coming up to the premiership with most still dealing with players leaving the clubs. Newcastle are still looking for a few new players whilst Blackpool haven't secured anyone as yet. West Brom have bought a few players but will be looking to add to their squad before the deadline at the end of August.
With less then 3 weeks till the season begins the transfer market is starting to heat up. Pre season friendlies are becoming more intense as players fight for positions and in some cases contracts. With many more clubs looking for players, shock decisions will be in store over the coming weeks with much anticipation for the new season.
