When Marvel releases a new movie, its teaser deserves a teaser as well. Chances are, they're going to be that good.
So while the sentiment was cute (and well thought off), that ant-sized trailer for Ant-Man, served only to get fans more excited for the actual teaser trailer that's set to premiere on January 6.
Finally, Marvel has released the Pym-sized clip in human form, giving everyone a taste of what's to come for the adventures of Hank Pym and Scott Lang.
The film is based on scientist Hank Pym and Scott Lang, based on a screenplay written by Edgar Wright, who was originally attached as director. The latter left due to creative differences with Marvel and was replaced by teen flick director, Peyton Reed—best known for creating cult teen hit, Bring It On.
Fans are less quick to judge however given that Marvel has always been known for their unconventional creative selections—placing up and comers or underdgos (think Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man) in the lead roles and beefing up their cast instead with A-listers in supporting roles (Natalie Portman as Thor's love interest and Robert Redford as a villain in Captain America.) Most recently, their decision to have Community directors, brothers Joe and Anthony Russo on the helm of the second Captain America installment proved to be a great decision for the studio.
True to Marvel formula, Paul Rudd is set to play the titular character with Michael Douglas in a supporting role as Hank Pym.
The full teaser trailer is set to be unveiled on the premiere of Agent Carter on Tuesday, January 6.
