In the midst of terrorist attacks aimed at Christians, Franklin Graham recently said that they should not betray or deny Christ, even if it means death.
Graham, who is the son of world-renowned envangelist Billy Graham, said in an interview that denying Christ can be considered a betrayal to Christian martyrs who have stood for their faith.
According to the Gospel Herald, Graham commented on Fox News' The Kelly File, hosted by Megyn Kelly. The host asked the Samaritan's Purse CEO whether it is okay for Christians to lie to their hostage takers who tell them to deny Christ just to save their lives.
"Christians have been martyred going all the way back to the Romans when they fed them to the lions. We would be betraying every person who stood for their faith, who stood for Jesus Christ, if we turn our back on Jesus Christ. ... I think we take a stand for our faith," Graham said.
Graham also pointed out that the ISIS group and other terrorist groups in the Middle East are killing and tormenting, while others are arresting Christians solely because of their faith.
He then pointed out the case of pastor Saeed Abedini, an American Christian who is currently imprisoned due to his faith in Christ. In recent reports, Abedini was given an 8-year sentence, which is not acceptable considering he is not a citizen of Iran.
Graham also called for President Barack Obama to take action and do something about these issues.
