Gynmast Gabby Douglas Praises God for her Victory in the 2012 Olympics

Also known as the "Flying Squirrel" for her magnificent performance on the uneven bars, Gabby Douglas represented America as she competed at the 2012 London Olympics. Only 16 years of age, Douglas became the first African-American woman and first woman of colour to win in the Woman's Gymnastic All-Around Event on Thursday 2nd of August. Her success if far from the end however as she won gold in not only the individual all-round competition, but also in the team all-round competition, becoming the first American gymnast to win both golds in the same Olympics!

Raised in two Christian households, Gabby grew in her faith and stands firm in her believe as she continually praises God for all her achievements. She proclaimed in an interview "I give all the glory to God. It's kind of a win-win situation. The glory goes up to him and the blessings fall down on me."

Douglas proudly announces her faith to the world, not only through the media, but also social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, stating "Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things He does for me." As well as thanking everyone for their prayers and support.

Not only has she achieved an incredible victory; Douglas is now the face of inspiration for millions around the world and she can easily win Gold all over again in four years time at the next Olympic games!
