The Australian megachurch's worship band, Hillsong United, additionally received nominations for Artist of the Year, and Contemporary Christian Performance of the Year and Worship Song of the Year also for Oceans.
Hillsong's newer counterpart, Young & Free, added to the tally with Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year and Praise and Worship Album of the Year for We Are Young & Free, and New Artist of the Year.
"We are honoured to receive these nominations for Dove Awards and are humbled that people listen to our music," the Hillsong Music team have said.
"We pray that it always points them to Jesus. To God be the Glory!"
The nominees were announced at Lipscomb University, Nashville, by 2013's Artist of the Year TobyMac.
Other honoured artists include Natalie Grant, Matthew West, Casting Crowns and Mandisa.
The 2014 GMA Dove Awards will be held at Nashville's Allen Arena on Tuesday, October 7.
