Abba, deserves all worship, He deserves all praise
When I think about His love for me, I’m always amazed
He is Jehovah Jireh, my provider
Jehovah Rapha, He is my healer
Jehovah Shamar, my protector
All Glory and Honour to the Way-Maker…
Praise Him
Abba deserves all the praise, worship and honour. In living a life of praise and trusting in God, we are continuing to confuse the enemy. The joy of the lord is our strength.
I smiled as I meditated on Psalms 63. David was praising God even though his present situation was not ideal. While in the desert of Judah taking refuge for his life, he cried out to Abba, “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.”
In his darkest hour, God was his strength and comfort. In the same way God gave David confidence he will do the same for us if we truly trust him with our whole hearts and in all circumstances.
Remain faithful
Remember Job, he was a faithful man described as being blameless, upright and one who feared God. This did not mean he was immune to trials and temptations. God himself gave the enemy permission to afflict Job. He suffered great loss, he was tested beyond imagination.
His family, wealth and possessions were all stripped from him and his body severely afflicted. Job was told to curse God and die, but instead he praised God through his dark season.
Job chapter 1, verses 20-21 reads “Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worshipand said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”
It was not easy for Job, he did question God and the reason for his pain, but he looked beyond it all and trusted God, even though he did not understand. After going through that tragic season Job remained faithful to Yahweh. In the end Job was rewarded for his faithfulness, his fortune was restored, God blessed him with twice as much as he had before.
With you always:
A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with the coronavirus. It was a terrible experience for me, my body was extremely weak, and I had terrible headaches, so severe that I had to seek medical attention immediately. I was given intravenous medications for the pain and was then sent home for recovery.
My daily routine was to take my medications and rest. Honestly, during the peak of the infection, I felt as if I couldn't go on, I couldn’t even pray, I felt so low in the spirit at times. I had to get a hold of myself and started to speak life over my situation.
I had to remind myself that God deserves all the praise whether I’m sick or not, in the good times and bad. As I praised God day by day my strength started to come back slowly. Things could have been worse, but I am here, all praise, glory and honor to the Lord Most High for his protection and favor.
God is so good and all praise belongs to him. Be encouraged, you will go through hard times, but praise God anyway. Whatever you face is not meant to hurt you, but to build your faith and confidence in God.
Make this vow with me; “I vow to praise you, through the good and the bad. I will praise you, whether happy or sad. I will praise you, despite all that I go through, because praise is what I do, and I owe it all to you.”
Whenever you are faced with hard times, just remember you are never alone. Jesus promised in Matthew chapter 28 verse 20, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
