Irenie How the Kiwi young writer program 'editor' from Christchurch was flown to Sydney over the weekend to undertake tuition on Christian Today New Zealand online 'uploading'.
Christian Today New Zealand was launched this morning throughout New Zealand with a fresh Kiwi young writer article along with an original 2012 young writer article as endorsed by New Zealand young writer panellist Bishop Brian Carrel.
Bishop Carrell has been instrumental in ensuring the Kiwi young writers double exposure by being published in both the Christian Today Australia online publication and the New Zealand edition and now with 'early articles' providing development support.
Irenie How attended the Sydney Saturday afternoon tuition by Christian Today's editor Natalie Chu and IT Steven Huang. Irenie How is a graphic designer and was already aware of much of the IT technical data provided in the tuition.
Steven Huang had the Christian Today New Zealand 'home page' on the big screen with laptops open 'at five places' as it were - as a one step at a time - with 'big screen' introduction and instruction.
Irenie How was not only following these steps but was taking copious notes for each fresh step to ensure the nature of the instruction was both understood and in turn enacted.
Joining Irenie
Joining Irene How in this tuition was the Press Service International 'Australian' young writers 'Brain's Trust' of Sam Gillespie and Cheryl McGrath.
'Press Service International' is the ministry by which the young writer project gives service to Christian Today who publishes their articles. This provides young people a 'voice' and a place where their comment and views are expressed online in the international market place of ideas.
Initiated in Australia in 2009 with Kiwi young people invited to to become part of the program in 2012, it has taken these past five years to gather the momentum to see this New Zealand edition of Christian Today get launched.
There are 20 young Kiwi's involved with more sought - along with three senior writers and a New Zealand 'Christian News' component run by Liz Hay a retired professional editor and spouse of retired Anglican minister Ron Hay.
Sam, Cheryl and Irenie
Sam Gillespie is engaged in a PhD at Sydney Uni in classical music composing, Cheryl McGrath is the CMS Victoria communications person, and Irenie How is the Kiwi young writer editor and graphic designer.
Irenie How each evening now uploads the Kiwi young writer articles, along with New Zealand Christian News as available.
This is a wonderful development for Christian media the length and breadth of New Zealand, singing the praises of Kiwi young people, with their 'comment' articles as published.
