While iZombie fans await the reunion of their favorite duo Liv and Major, executive producer Rob Thomas has another pairing in mind - Liv and...Peyton?
In an interview with TVLine Thomas and other cast members of The CW hit series iZombie talked about new twists and turns fans can expect in Season 3.
When Liv and her best friend Peyton's chemistry was brought up, the show's leading lady, Rose McIver, who portrays the brain-eating medical examiner Liv Moore, said that she'd be "down for a woman" as one of her love interests. Just one lesbian brain could make this a reality for fans.
Thomas also revealed that Liv will have a love interest this year "who will not die." But before you your hopes too high, Rob clarified that "the relationship will not end because of death." In other words, it will end one way or another.
The show has taught fans not to become too attached to Liv's love interests. Fan favorite from Season 1, musician Lowell Tracy, and undercover cop Drake Holloway from Season 2 both met their fate just as their relationship with Liv began to heat up.
Season 3 will also feature a new dynamic between Liv and Clive, who now have "no more secrets." Thomas also teased that series will have "dominatrix brain" on the menu and a super revealing flashback.
Meanwhile, in the upcoming 13- episode season we will see Ravi proceeding with his work on curing the zombie virus, which is destined to be doomed as a cure would spell the doom for the series which revolves around zombies.
iZombie season 3 is schedule for a mid-season release, though The CW network has not announced a premiere date yet.
