It's truly going to be a magical holiday for Harry Potter fans as news broke out that J.K. Rowling will be writing 12 new stories leading up to Christmas day in Pottermore.
"We're feeling extra generous this year, so we're bringing you early gifts this Christmas. Starting Friday, December 12, we'll be releasing a festive surprise for you everyday at 1 p.m. GMT (8am EST)," it was announced in Pottermore, the official website of the boy wizard.
All fans have to do starting December 12 is to answer rhyming riddles in Pottermore to get access to Rowling's new material on the boy who lived.
Pottermore promised fans that there will be "moments from Half-Blood Prince, shiny gold Galleons and even a new potion or two."
Rowling will reveal her thoughts on Harry's nemesis Draco Malfoy, a Slytherin from the same year who bullied Harry and his friends all throughout school.
Last Halloween, Rowling chose to disclose more information about Hogwart's most unpopular professor, Dolores Umbridge. It was learned that the author based Umbridge on a real life person she "disliked intensely."
"Dolores is one of the characters for whom I feel the purest dislike," said Rowling. "Her desire to control, to punish, and to inflict pain, all in the name of law and order, are, I think, every bit as reprehensible as Lord Voldemort's unvarnished espousal of evil."
