It's wedding bells for Joaquin Phoenix as he announced his engagement to his yoga instructor during a guesting on the "Late Night with David Letterman."
But whether or not Phoenix's jovial claim is real, however, is yet to be determined.
Phoenix shared certain details about his relationship with the mysterious yoga instructor, but his publicist later claimed that it was all a joke.
It will be the first time the 40-year-old actor will walk down the aisle, should Phoenix's story be true. During the show, Phoenix narrated his interesting encounter with his yoga instructor, wherein she told him to "harness the hog."
"My yoga instructor grabs me - and it's a compromising and vulnerable position - and she gets a strap and puts it around me and she's thrusting against me and I go, 'Oh, no! My back pain!' And she goes, 'No, that's your emotional back pain,'" he laughingly shared.
"This is the crazy part of the story," added Phoenix. "We started dating, and I think she's the one. I proposed to her and she said yes."
There were no further details about Phoenix's soon-to-be bride.
This piece of happy news might not be true, however, since The Independent reported that it was only a hoax.
"It was a joke," Phoenix's publicist told the news agency."Joaquin has an extraordinary and spontaneous sense of humour but it is not true."
