Press Service International run the young writer program with Christian Today New Zealand on the same basis as for Christian Today Australia. In 2012 young Kiwi's were invited to become young writers in Christian Today Australia and in 2017 the Kiwi's will have their own edition of Christian Today.
Christian Today is part of CMCI - Christian Media Corporation International - with Christian Post (USA, Canada, Germany), and Christian Today (UK, Czeck, Australia, India, New Zealand. Christian Post (USA) is the world's largest Christian news provider.
The Australian edition has had a weekly volunteer sport writer since 2009 and four of those young writers are still with the program. Jeremy Dover (Melbourne), Wesley Tronson (Brisbane), Josh Hinds (Central Coast) and Rosie Timmins (Melbourne) who has transferred as one of the Australian sport panellists.
Each year a set of panellists mark the sport articles with points of out 10 for each article and at the end of the marking season they are collated for the annual Tony Dunkerley Sport Award presented at the annual sport awards.
New Zealand sport writers
The Christian Today New Zealand program is looking for three young sport writers to join existing Kiwi sport writer Tim Newman from Invercargill.
Tim Newman won the Press Service International Tony Dunkerley Sport Award this year in Sydney. Tim followed Brad Mills of Auckland as the Kiwi sport writer.
In 2017 there are three volunteer young sport writers 'positions' available to Kiwi young people (18-30 age bracket) in the Christian Today New Zealand program.
Not only will they write and have published their monthly sport article, those sport articles will be marked by a set of New Zealand panellists for the annual awards.
Kiwi sport writers
Again, the criteria for young Kiwi sport writers are
Keen on sport
Keen to writer about sport

Moreover these young sport writers are writing sport, not theology. Christian Today New Zealand are wanting 'sport' articles as Christian Today Australia's sport writers have been providing all these years.
