American Christian musician Lecrae released a new video last week, challenging fans to make a change in their lives by being real to themselves and not care too much what others say.
"So I've been thinking, for 2015 how about we clean out our closet; how 'bout we get rid of the skeletons; how 'bout we don't live a double life; how 'bout we walk in integrity. As difficult as that may sound, what if we lived that way," Lecrae said in the video.
The rapper, producer and songwriter posted the video on his Facebook page, hoping it will inspire other people to live the lives they were meant to live.
"I always say, if you live for their acceptance you'll die from their rejection," Lecrae further added.
Lecrae also mentioned what he calls circles in his life to group people he knows. According to the Grammy-winner, there are three different circles - the biggest circle is the one where he shares few personal information with while the smallest circle stands for people he shares his most deepest secrets with.
It's this small circle of people, the singer said, that lets him be accountable for his actions and choices in life.
"These are people that I trust, and I don't mind sharing my deepest darkest stuff with them because they're making me fight to be who I was created to be. I'm not trying to pretend to be somebody that I'm not. And I think we need those circles," he expounded.
