LG has confirmed that it will be launching the LG V20 smartphone on September 6. The new LG V20 is the successor device of V10, which will be running on Android operating system v 7.0 Nougat. As per a recent leak, the device is quite similar to LG's G5 smartphone. Many images of the phone body have been rolled out on a technology leak platform.
The leaked images of the V20 display a key on the right, which is alike the module release button on the LG G5. The images also show a bottom part that seems to be a removable module. The major distinction seems to be the design of the camera that shows a noteworthy hump. The leaked images also show a dual camera setup similar to the LG G5.
According to Android Authority, the smartphone is about 8.8mm thick at the camera hump while the overall thickness is about 7.7mm. The device is expected to be 159.5mm x 78.1mm.
The V20's front looks like it has retained the ticker-tape secondary display on top of the primary display, which is a similar function to that of the V10, but to be noted there is only a single secondary camera. It seems LG is completely in favor of dual rear cameras and designing modular phones.
In terms of button layout, LG V20 is coming in line with LG G5. The render points out a rear power button that may also perform as a fingerprint scanner. LG most certainly seems to be changing the position of the volume rocker to the left-hand side of the LG V20.
It has also been predicted the phone will feature a 5.7" Quad HD resolution screen along with Snapdragon 820 chip packed with 4GB RAM. In addition, the phone will have a 4000mAh battery and up to 21MP rear camera.
