'Limitless' fans were left disappointed when CBS axed the series from its 2016-2017 line-up. The cancellation was not received well, with a petition for a second series now gaining traction.
Fans are reportedly boycotting the network for the decision since the show had strong ratings and is now running well on Netflix.
There was a glimmer of hope among fans that Netflix would pick up the show for a second season, but the rumor has since been shut down by show runner Craig Sweeney, who recently tweeted: "Unfortunately, it is not true. The show is cancelled."
Fans have since turned to Care2 Petitions to voice their wishes for the renewal of the show. The petition is gaining momentum likely fuelled by the shows' season one run on Netflix, and has almost reached 10,000 signatures, surpassing the initial goal of 6,000.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the cast of 'Limitless' have already moved on, as Jake McDorman who played Brian Finch has already signed on for a feature movie 'Ideal Home'. Hill Harper, who portrayed FBI agent Boyle, is currently working on a project named 'An Interview with God.'
It seems that even if 'Limitless' season 2 is picked up, filming would be an issue given the busy schedule of the cast.
