The third season of CBS network's political drama Madam Secretary is gearing up for its arrival on the October 2, and Elizabeth McCord is in for quite some turmoil. Rewinding a bit to the finale of the second season, we recall that President Conrad Dalton extended an offer to McCord, giving her a choice to run as the vice president during his reelection campaign.
But this is not an easy choice for her, even given the driven profession that she is. Christian Times highlights her dilemma, and explains that McCord is caught in a tough spot where she has to choose between her family and her job. If she does take the President up on his offer, her hectic schedule is bound to leave her hardly any time to focus on her family.
And she's in a place where some family time could really be needed. Other rumors, as reported by Game & Guide, suggest that her marriage is in for some trouble this season. Her relationship with husband Henry McCord may hit a few rough patches when the new installment airs. But some of the rumors spell good news as well. While the two may see a few sour days, they supposedly eventually patch things up at an event in their son Jason's school.
That's not all that's going to trouble Elizabeth in season 3. Other online reports state that a new group that's christened Boko Haram will be of some concern to the potential vice president. On the casting front, Entertainment Weekly brings us some news fans will love. Morgan Freeman is returning as Chief Justice Wilbourne. Another possible member to join the cast is Jane Pauley from CBS News.
With a little over a month to go for the new season of the highly anticipated drama series, we're all excited for more news and spoilers.
