The Book of Hope, a chronological and harmonized version of the four Gospels, is used as an evangelistic tool by the ministry to reach children around the world and its distribution capacity has increased from 1 million to 10 million, in Mexico.
"The Lord just decided that it was harvest time. Through various networks, working with over 10,000 churches and working with different NGO's, the Lord has allowed us to go from 1 million to 10 million this year. So that's like a thousand fold increase," he told Mission Network News (MNN).
Mr. Luna told MNN that without the church partnership this project would have collapse. The church leaders, he continued, have taken an oath to turn the place of worship into a 'millionaires' club' where each place is being given a commission to reach a million children within the state.
Part of the strategy in reaching more youth, he continued, was to encourage those who already read the book to persuade their friends to do so as well. Another way was through door-knocking.
The joy for Mr. Luna is to see young people turning to Christ and he has made an appeal for financial support to continue the printing of the books, which costs 33-cents to produce, so more young people can read the Word of God.
