"I cried on my father's shoulder and said, 'Daddy, I don't want to get an abortion, but I'm also not ready to raise a child'," Angela recalled in an interview with Brazilian television network O'Globo.
However, her father convinced her to keep the baby at the time. "He wouldn't let me do that, that I commit a sin," she revealed.
Now, Silva is the central defender for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian national team, both of which he also captains.
Silva spent his childhood in the slums in Santa Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, where he revealed that he and his family had a difficult and complicated life.
"I lived in a well-known favela. The police were always there. Because of the danger, I always thanked God when I got home safely," Silva said.
