MTV has just released its own list of American Horror Story's most evil characters from seasons one to four, and while many are vying for the top spot, the most absolutely evil character they picked is actually based on a real person!
Coming in at number 10 was Johnny Morgan from Asylum. "It's not Johnny's fault that he's the son of a psychotic serial killer, but it is his fault that he didn't find a healthier way to cope than hunting down and trying to kill his own mother," the article said.
Number 9 was Tate Langdon from Murder House. The author of the article said that while the character is crush-worthy, he really is just a rotten person on the inside.
Topping him for number 8 was his mother Constance Langdon. "The only thing good about this scheming, sniping murderess and manipulator was her capacity for amazing zingers," the article said.
"Avaricious" Stanley from Freakshow was number 7, for his relentless focus on murdering the freaks for personal gain.
Crazy cutie Dandy Mott, also from Freakshow just ranked sixth, and the author described him as "a portrait of whiteboy entitlement." His "corruption is all the more offensive for being completely freaking unnecessary. He could have had a very nice life without killing anyone, but noooooo."
Dr. Oliver "Bloody Face" Thredson from Asylum made it to number five not just for his murders but for being responsible for a scene "that was so gross as to be unwatchable." And for American Horror Story standards, that's saying a lot!
Marie Laveau from Coven is number four, and the author only had this to say: "Consider: Every year, by agreement, she has to offer a human baby as a sacrifice to Papa Legba. Marie Laveau is over 300 years old. Do the math. That's a lot of dead babies."
Number three is Dr. Arthur Arden from Asylum because he is a Nazi.
Laveau's nemesis Fiona made it to number two. She was "so bad that when she tried to make a business deal with the voodoo devil, it turned out she didn't even have a soul to sell."
Finally, number one is Delphine LaLaurie, also from Coven. "This unapologetic serial murderess and virulent racist not only tormented and tortured her slaves, but she's one of the few American Horror Story characters who's based on a real person," said the author.
On the flip side, Pepper from Asylum and Freakshow made it below the list of evil for her "pure, buck-toothed, unibrowed innocence" followed by Addie Langdon and Misty Day from Coven, Vivien Harmon from Murder House, then Shachath the angel from Asylum.
