The Legend of Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, has said that a multiplayer Zelda game could be the next title after Breath of the Wild.
"I would like to take what I learned from Breath of the Wild and see if we can somehow fuse those learning points into another multiplayer Zelda," Aonuma told IGN at E3 2016. "For example, with Triforce Heroes, which followed a similar format of Four Swords, there was a multiplayer involved in that game."
Breath of the Wild is set to be launched some time in 2017, with fans eagerly anticipating the game since it was revealed at the conference.
Zelda has several past games with multiplayer features including, Four Swords Adventures, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks and Tri Force Heroes.
This is not the first time Aunoma has mentioned the idea of having a new multiplayer Zelda title. He admitted that he has been experimenting a lot throughout the Zelda series, having said that, he admitted that Breath of the Wild will focus on a single-player experience.
Still, Nintendo did reveal a Wolf Link amiibo, released alongside The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, which will unlock a special companion that can be used once a day as a companion, so the player will not feel lonely.
