Wendie Malick, a.k.a. Victoria Chase from 'Hot in Cleveland', has been cast as the mother of criminalist and forensic investigator Sebastian in the season 3 of 'NCIS New Orleans'.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Malick will play the role of Sylvia Lund, an over-protective and loving mother appearing in the fourth episode of the series. Her character will have a dash of eccentrics just like her son Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich). Fans will see her as the doting mum who still likes to keep her son under her shelter and frets about his health and well-being constantly.
The actress has earlier starred in 'Rush Hour' and 'Just Shoot Me'.
Another new addition to the series is actress Vanessa Ferlito, who will join as a regular as a tough FBI Special Agent. She is all set to take the place of Agent Meredith Brody (Zoe McLellan), who has already left the show.
The name of Vanessa's character is not known yet but reports suggest that her character will have a mysterious past and will be indifferent to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service agents.
"We are beyond excited to have Vanessa join our show and are looking forward to adding her distinctive personality and edge to our amazing 'NCIS: New Orleans' cast," said Executive producer Brad Kern.
It is unknown that for how long the new additions will stay in the series.
NCIS New Orleans Season 3 will air September 20, at 10pm on CBS.
