Nick Vujicic will publish the first edition of his new, free monthly magazine in January 2015. For readers who are not yet aware of who Mr Vujicic is, internet searches typically feature videos and articles that describe the Christian evangelist as the "most inspirational" human being they have watched and listened to. Featured on People magazine's website in early December, 32-year-old Mr Vujicic explained to the reporter that he lost both his arms and legs because of the extremely rare congenital condition, Tetra-amelia syndrome.
After contemplating taking his own life when he was a child, the devout follower of Jesus Christ proceeded to use his life experience to help others. Now living in Los Angeles, Mr Vujicic has spoken before audiences of all sizes in over 50 countries, introducing people to Jesus's "great desire to get to know them personally" and the importance of "allowing Him to become their Lord and Savior." His website, Life Without Limbs, features the following bible passage (Jeremiah 29:11):
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Mr Vujicic's new publishing venture, Attitude is Altitude (AIA), was initially launched on social media platform Facebook on December 8. As part of a motivational speaking event in Singapore on Tuesday, Mr Vujicic also delivered a press conference, at which he shared the intention behind the magazine. He explained that AIA represents his aim to "give out hope for free", and will print inspirational and motivational articles for readers who are looking to lead a more healthy and positive life. Mr Vujicic said that he wants AIA to "awaken people to the fact that we are all change makers to the people around us".
The popular inspirational figure—his Facebook page has over five million fans—is also planning a weekly online podcast and a feature film about his life story, scheduled for a 2016 release, to further spread his message of hope. In addition to the Facebook page, the official AIA website and Twitter profile are also live—visitors to the website will see the magazine's ethos statement: "Attitude Is Everything And Self Perception Determines Direction".
