It was only around this time last year the singer first hit the airwaves on Australia radio station Triple J.
"I'm so pumped", she said on the breakfast show this morning. "I've only played the smaller clubs in Australia and the festival [circuit]. I'm ready to play my own shows in large venues".
"It's definitely a step up" she said. "We've really stepped up our production and light show; it's a whole new thing now. I don't want to give anything away, but it's pretty special."
Lorde won two Grammy awards earlier this year with the Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year for Royals.
Last time Lorde was in Autralia was back in January for the Laneway festival.
