Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan announced on Thursday that the National Action Plan (NAP) is now being implemented to battle terrorist groups in the war-torn country.
According to The Economic Times, Sharif stated that the NAP will destroy any acts of terrorism in the country, particularly in 2015.
He also added that there are no neutral sides in the cause against terrorism.
"The country's civil and military leadership is united against terrorism and militancy", said the prime minister and quoted by News International.
In the report, the meeting was attended by prominent leaders of the country, including governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the chief of the Pakistani army, the director general of the Inter-Services Intelligence, experts and the attorney general.
The NAP was built and enacted by the Pakistani government after a Taliban attack in a Peshawar school that caused the death of 140 students and teachers.
"We will not let the sacrifices of our soldiers and the blood of innocent children in Peshawar go in vain," the prime minister said.
Pakistan is one of the countries where terrorist group Taliban has been operating in years. The move by the Pakistani government is one of its first real steps in order to battle terrorism in the country.
