Rumors are now abound following the alleged delay of the next movie in the Pirates franchise. With a string of successful movies preceding it, the newest title on the block, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, is not likely to be released until the middle, or the latter half, of next year.
And already, the upcoming movie has made it to the tabloids for various reasons including the production team overspending, and a few issues with the movie's cast.
Yahoo U.K. reports that the crew described working with Johnny Depp as a nightmare. Normally a breeze to work with, the actor is going through marital troubles on the home front. This has apparently left him rattled. Depp was reported to arrive late to the sets on several occasions, and to leave for the day without informing the team.
There was that time when Depp left to the US for surgery following a hand injury, without notifying the cast that he would be gone. This supposedly delayed the film's schedule by weeks.
Yibada published a write-up that reveals some spoilers for the new movie's plotlines. We'll learn more about Will Turner in the fifth installment of the franchise. His son, Henry Turner, may be introduced in the storyline, and the tale will touch upon the dynamics of the father-son relationship. The movie may also show us how the two Turners reconcile.
The upcoming movie will continue to revolve around Captain Jack Sparrow, according to Ecumenical News. The captain's search for the Trident of Poseidon continues, and this mystical object may help protect him from Captain Salazar. Although a major portion of the movie will revolve around Orlando Bloom's character Will Turner, Captain Jack Sparrow will probably still be the star of the show. Fans have loved Depp's portrayal of the captain thus far, and a sudden change in loyalties isn't likely.
