This call has come from the Christians in the Muslim Nation of Indonesia, who by the leading of the Holy Spirit, are sending 150 pastors and leaders to Australia to pray for Australia and ask Christians in Australia to pray for their nation.
The vision was to gather people to pray at the Opera House – but it was later discovered that the Opera House could only provide a venue for 300 people and many would have missed out on this wonderful night.
So now the City Wide Prayer Rally will be held in Arncliffe and believers across Sydney are called to gather and unite in Prayer with fellow Indonesian friends.
Founder of Generation Fire, Pastor Donny McGregor believes that such a stand of Christians together will help lift the moral and spiritual climate of this beautiful city and of our wonderful nation as a whole.
Pastor Donny stated "We want to [help] put out a different message – That Sydney being the birthplace of Australia is a beautiful city that reflects the beauty of God's Creation, and this beautiful harbour is evidence of a God that loves this nation. Sydney will be a City known because of those People who love Jesus."
