LifeWorks similar to Introducing God and Alpha is based on a weekly ‘meal, teaching session and discussion group.’ The foundations for LifeWorks are base on the Holy Bible. The first is the protection of the message which is found in 1 Corinthian 1:22-23 where the message of the gospel is never changing. The second is from 1 Corinthian 9:20-21 where the delivery method will be different in order to ‘connect the message’.
In order to make LifeWorks relevant and applicable to ordinary Australians it is modified to suit its unique characteristics. The strategies of LifeWorks are base on: “Giving them the reasons to believe and the experience of real Christianity; Offering them a Christian community; Give these people a Christian worldview.”
The contents of the talk include 9 topics which are: “What is God Like; Who am I; What is wrong with the world; Is the Bible reliable; Who is Jesus; Did Jesus rise from the dead; Why did Jesus die; How can I have a good relationship with God; Turning toward Christ.”
The Sydnyanglians.net has reported Andrew Alexander is now planning to attend a preliminary course at Moore Theological College and in his closing remark states: “My life is starting to work.” Leigh Brown has express interest from around the world and say: “Nobody does a course just because it is another course. They do it because they want to.”
The LifeWorks resource material will be available for a recommended retail price of $299 and it is anticipated that training days in the use of the material, will be held in February, 2006.
