Much controversy has marred the 2016 Olympic Games even before the games kicks off in Rio de Janeiro this week. However, this hasn't stopped fans from around the world flocking to the internet to tune in to all the live action while away from the TV.
This time around, NBC has promised 4,500 hours of live programming on its application and website to those who subscribe to pay to tune in.

NBC's website and apps will live stream 4,500 hours of programming, which includes all competitions, even the ones that don't make it to your television set.
There will be concurrent streaming too during competitions, where there will be more than one thing going on at the same time on track and field, or in tennis court. It can cover up to five courts.
Live streaming will be available on NBCOlympic.com as well as on NBC Olympic app which is available for Android, iPhones, iPad, tablet, Windows phone, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV stick, Roku streaming boxes, sticks, Chromecast via NBC Sports iOS or Android app and the new Apple TV via the device's app store.
Telemundo's website will stream more 720 hours with Spanish language commentary. It is also available on Telemundo Desportes apps and iOS.
PlayStation Vue. Sony's online TV service is another good option for those who want to stream the Olympics without re-subscribing to cable. PlayStation Vue's base package, dubbed Access, and costs $40 for a month which includes access to NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, NBCSN, Telemundo, Bravo and USA, which will carry many of the game's main events.
