Scotland held its first ever same-sex wedding, Wednesday.
According to a report by Pink News, seven couples were lined up to wed on the day
The event formally sees the entire Great Britain in favour of same-sex weddings.
While the law came into effect earlier in December, gay couples planning to tie the knot required to give at least 15 days notice. However, couples already in civil partnerships prior when the law was to came into effect were allowed to skip the notice period.
The Marriage and Civil Partnership (Scotland) Act, passed earlier last year, came into effect in December. More couples are expected to tie the knot on New Year's Day.
