The recently leaked Sony Xperia F8331 will reportedly be named 'Xperia XR' and is rumored to be introduced at the IFA in Berlin this September.
According to Phone Radar, the Xperia F8331 will be Sony's flagship phone, though the tech company has to make any official confirmation regarding the leaked images.
The latest addition to the Xperia X line-up appears different from other Sony models, according to the images. It is speculated that the new model will be made of metal and that the lower separation of the phone, as seen in the images, is for antenna bands.
The leaked images also show the front of the device covered by a glass which is slightly curved to the sides. Other features include front firing speakers, though it unknown if they are stereo speakers or not. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is also seen.
The back of the phone has an overall new look starting with the LED flash layout. There is also a separate partition at the bottom but the reason for this is not immediately known.
Furthermore, a USB Type-C is at the bottom of the device and at the top, making it the first device from Sony to have a USB Type-C.
Going by the images, the power button might feature a fingerprint scanner. The device is rumoured to have 1080p display on the front and having the capability of recording at 4k resolution with both the front and the back cameras.
The pricing and availability of this device is not known yet.
