It is the unexpected twists and turns that makes 'Stranger Things' one of the most popular series of Netflix. The latest rumored twist being the possibility of Eleven turning out to be Hopper's daughter. Well, there is a story to back this claim, of course.
*Warning Spoilers Ahead*
In the eighth and last episode of the series, titled 'The Upside Down', the creators themselves some clues for fans to ponder about until season 2 returns. Hopper left food, including Eggos, in a jungle hatch which was most probably for Eleven, speculated fans. This also gave fans a huge relief that Eleven is most likely still alive.
The question though, is how did Chief Hopper know Eleven's adoration with the waffles? Some theorize that Eleven is the present day Sarah, the daughter of Hopper who died of cancer when she was young. Eleven's nosebleed and her shaved head definitely make way to such theorization which is related to cancer.
According to Bustle, Sarah might be alive too since there were no bodies or caskets. After the Upside Down episode, there are chances of Hopper finding his daughter in the alternate timeline.
"Obviously something happened to her when she destroyed and killed that monster and we don't know what she went. Hopper is left with this guilt because he sold her out," said show co-creator Matt Duffer.
"We wanted to leave it sort of mysterious exactly what he knows... Have there been sightings in the woods or is he hoping she's out there or has he already made contact with her? We don't answer any of that, but we like the idea of potentially putting her and Hopper together" he added, staying tight-lipped about any leads for season 2.
But the Duffer Brothers have promised to reveal more before the season 2 starts.
Despite no official announcement by Netflix for the second season, it is widely expected that renewal of the show, which exceeded expectations, is right around the corner.
