Alpha dinner is a unique opportunity for participants to seek answers about life and faith in a non-pressurise environment surrounded by good food and company. Further the dinner gives a brief introduction of the Alpha and YouthAlpha Course.
Starting from 1995 the Alpha course completed by more than 200,000 Australians is a 10 ‘thought provoking’ weekly session focusing on key issues relating to the Christian faith.
John Saddington the NSW State Coordinator for Alpha believe the key to Alpha is its open invitation to anyone. He says: “Everyone is welcome no matter what questions they have. We also enjoy the many different opinions that they bring. People are free to come and go as they please - there is no pressure. Bring your big questions about life and faith - no question is too simple or statement too hostile!”
YouthAlpha targeting the young people aims to present them with ‘the truth about the Christian faith and then discipline them in that faith.’ The presentation method will be ‘fresh and creative’.
The testimonies from the participants are glowing in their praise. Time magazine commented: “The miracle formula church leaders are hoping will reverse this religious decline (is)...many claimed Alpha.” The Most Reverend Archbishop Issam John Darwish of the Melkite Catholic Church of Australia and New Zealand: “Encourages the faithful of the Melkite Catholic Churches in Australia and New Zealand to consider joining this valuable study.”
The dinner is free and it's a chance for people to explore the big issues of life. Interested people can find a local Church near them at www.alphainvitation.com or call 0418 862 842
