What is striking is the degree of originality of the paintings crafted by the great masters.
While in some cases many of them all were influenced by each other, in another way they walked a path no one had treaded before.
This was certainly true of Van Gogh, here in this video I have looked at a quote that explains his quest for originality.
It’s important to realise that it did not just happen, but he also made a concerted effort to walk that path.
Will you go the path that no one has walked?
The book of Joshua in the bible speaks of this in Chapter 3 verse 4, “Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before.”
The people entered the promised land by following the priests who carried the ark of presence, symbolising God’s leading.
Like the people of God in that time, you may not know which way to go right now but keep your eyes on that raised ark. Like the ark, Jesus was raised and resurrected into glory, and we are in him. The ark was made of gold, Jesus was divine. In him we are partakers of the divine nature. Though we are jars of clay, we have a capacity for greatness.
I believe that as we walk as Jesus walked, doing and saying what he saw and heard the father showing him, we will carve a fresh and unique trail in the arts and media, business and all areas.
Society cries out for positive reforms. We carry that DNA to be on the very cutting edgebecause God knows what is coming up and what is needed.
He wants his people to be the light of the world.
In this video, I explain how Van Gogh was intentional in his quest for originality and may it also help you as God leads you.
