We all want meaning. We all strive to find that one, overarching purpose for being, that one guiding principle that will make all of our toil worth it. Whether it is work, people, money, or fame, we all have a great goal that we give our all to.
I have personally found that meaning. And it is in Christianity.
I hope you will join me over the coming months as I explain why I personally love Christianity, and why I think it is the best worldview available in the marketplace of ideas i.e. why I think you should love it too. My reasons will vary, from intellectual to existential, from human-flourishing to creation-loving, and everything in between.
If you are a Christian reading this, then I pray that you will read and feel satisfied in both your head and heart, and willingly make this message the meaning of your life. If you are not a Christian – even if you are completely opposed to Christianity – I pray that you would not dismiss the coming articles, but that you would let them challenge your worldview and presuppositions. A worldview that can't be challenged is not a very good one at all.
A final disclaimer – I don't try to convince you of these things out of some sort of sick and twisted religious superiority. I do this because I have most likely struggled with the exact same philosophical and existential dilemmas you have, and I (after a fair while looking) found answers abounding in the most unlikely place – Christianity.
So let's take a look together.
