Jerusalem Nano Bible has recently developed the world's smallest New Testament in the original Greek translation. The Bible comes in the form of a square chip measuring 4.76 millimetres on each side. The chip is so small it can be embedded into jewelry such pendants and watches.
The manufacturing process made use of 0.18 micron technology so that each letter measured 0.18 micron in width, resulting in the production of the smallest printed Bible ever made. Each square chip Bible was sliced from an 8-inch silicone wafer, which contained more than 1,000 of such squares on each side.
The Greek writings inside the Bible were validated by an academic scholar, who used a microscope to confirm that the Bible indeed contained all 27 New Testament books in Greek.
Jerusalem Nano Bible company hopes to mass produce the Bible so that it can be made available to anyone. The Bible is presently nominated in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's smallest Bible.
