A new leak has revealed significant information about the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Mi Note 2's features, specifications as well as their expected price and date of launch. The Redmi 4, powered with Snapdragon 625 SoC having 3GB RAM, has reportedly been revealed to launch on August 25, while the Mi Note 2 will be possibly revealed on September 5.
According to the Geekbench, the Redmi 4 runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 Octa-core processor that is clocked at 2.02 GHz, along with Adreno 506 GPU and 3GB RAM. Earlier leaks have disclosed that Redmi 4 will have a 5-inch 1080p full HD display as well as MediaTek's Helio X20 deca-core chipset.
The Redmi 4 has kept a count of 929 scores in single-core test, and 4,751 in multi-core. The device will be operating on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). It has also been rumored that it will have a metal unibody design, 100mAh battery and fingerprint scanner.
Aside from the Redmi 4, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a highly anticipated to come with a Samsung-made AMOLED display screen, and is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 821 processor, while providing users with new features including fingerprint scanner that will be embedded inside the dedicated home button on front of the phone, also having a boost of power with a 3,600mAh battery.
The latest Mi Note 2 feature a 6GB RAM along with a 64GB internal storage and also in another variant of 128GB. It has also been said that the Xiaomi is purportedly working on a Mi Note 2 with a curved display similar to Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
A Xiaomi event for the launch of new devices is likely to take place on August 25 and prices for the base variant are likely to be at US $105 for the Redmi 4 and US $375 for the Mi Note 2.
